Ski Arlberg consistently has some of the best snowpack in all of the Alps year in and year out and is guaranteed to provide the best skiing conditions throughout the entire season. The Albona, the closest mountain to Stuben, is known for having plenty of snow into May and connects Stuben to the rest of the Arlberg ski area. You'll find some of the best deep powder runs in the Arlberg region here.
All of the Ski Arlberg ski areas are accessible from Stuben by ski. Now featuring 305 kilometers of slopes and 88 modern lifts and gondolas, Ski Arlberg is Austria's largest connected ski area and is one of the five largest in the entire world. Waiting to be discovered are relaxed family runs for beginner and intermediate skiers, terrain parks with plenty of features for snowboarders, the Cyber Area for carvers, and demanding steep runs and high alpine tours as a challenge for pros.

There are numerous magnificent backcountry ski tours in the Arlberg region where you can experience the winter landscape in all its tranquility. Regardless of whether you are a beginner or an experienced backcountry skier, the Arlberg has the right terrain for you.
We strongly recommend that you book a certified, local mountain and ski guide for your tour. The best time of year for backcountry tours is in March and April.
Day tour with ski guide
Day tours with a certified mountain guide can be booked directly through the Hotel. The cost is €400 per day and an additional €20 for each additional person. After a short training to familiarize you with the equipment and safety precautions, the guide will choose an appropriate tour on the mountain from the over 70 available routes on the Arlberg.
