Klosteral's gorgeous mountain landscape. There are also plenty of cultural activities too. There's much to discover in Bodensee's beautiful cities - a visit to the Bregenz Music Festival promises to be a cultural highlight. Afterwards, you can relax at the Mondschein and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Hiking on the Arlberg


VARIED ROUTES

Stuben is a gateway to an extensive and magnificent hiking area with countless kilometers of hiking trails for every level of expertise and physical fitness. They'll lead you through lush alpine meadows, along steep ridges, past deep blue mountain lakes, and reward you with fantastic panorama views. A highly recommended hike of about two hours leads you to the Kaltenberg Cabin, which is situated on an sunny plateau at 2,098 meters in elevation. With its small mountain lake, it is unrivaled in its beauty. It's exposed location offers an impressive view of the surrounding mountain landscape. We're more than happy to give you tips and advice to help you discover the mountain environment.

Sport on the Arlberg


A HOTSPOT FOR OUTDOOR ENTHUSIASTS

The Arlberg region is also an attractive place for outdoor enthusiasts in the summertime. The many summer activities range from hiking and climbing tours to mountain biking, fishing, and golfing at 1,500 meters in elevation. In Stuben you'll find many hiking trails, climbing tours, and marked mountain bike routes. And many of the lifts in the region are open for you during the summer.


Close to Nature


MOUNTAIN BIKING

The Arlberg region seems like it was created for a holiday with the mountain bike. In total, the network of marked mountain biking trails in Vorarlberg extends over almost 300 km - and Stuben is a great starting point. Mountain bikes can be stored safely at the Hotel.

CLIMBING

You'll find plenty of via ferrata (fixed rope routes) for every ability level. Rare flora and fauna, such as the iconic Edelweiss, are often discovered in these less accessible places.


CANYONING

A canyoning tour is a perfect way to challenge yourself. Professional guides lead small groups through canyons, gorges, and river beds. The means of advancing through these geological features are diverse: hiking, climbing, sliding, rapelling, swimming, diving, and jumping from cliffs into pools of water below. 


RAFTING

On a rafting adventure, up to twelve people go though a mountain river on a raft. The specific route is chosen based on the rafters' ability levels. Whitewater fun is guaranteed!

Excursions


EXPLORE THE ARLBERG REGION

From Stuben, four countries are accessible within a one hour drive: Switzerland, the Principality of Liechtenstein, Germany, and Italy.

There are many possible destinations for interesting excursions. Visit Lake Constance or the Bregenzerwälder Käsestraße or go on a panorama drive on the Silvretta Hochalpenstraße, one of the most beautiful mountain roads in the Alps. On the Tyrolean side, you can visit the Reschen Pass, Stelvio Pass, and much more.



There are two interesting museums in Vorarlberg. The inatura in Dornbirn includes both an experiential exhibit as well as a documentation center about Vorarlberg's natural world. The largest Rolls-Royce Museum in the world is located in a historic textile factory in Dornbirn not far from the Rappenlochschlucht. The larger than life automobile museum has more than 1,000 pieces on display in 3,500 square meters of exhibition space spread over three floors.
